Walking in the Rain
Walking in the Rain

It was a cold wet wintry afternoon, just before dusk.

Working to capture as many images before the light was lost, I paused for a few moments and looked down.

There was a wealth of colour and reflections on the wet footpath...... SO happy that I looked down

Sovereign Hill Winter Festival

For a few weeks in June and July Sovereign Hill becomes a Christmas winter wonderland with twinkling lights, character in costume, enormous Christmas tree, carollers…

A beautiful place on a wintry icy evening in Ballarat.

A great live music venue in Ballarat - The Cabaret Club brings big names to the region.

I have enjoyed many nights here and at it’s previous location as Suttons House of Music on Sturt Street

Light Painting
Light Painting

After a long day driving 7 hours to photograph a WWII veteran as part of the Reflections project, it was energising to spend a few hours on a very cold Ballarat night experiencing light painting for the first time.

WOW!  No other words really

The Boatshed
The Boatshed

Lake Wendouree at Ballarat has a long history of boating, rowing and sailing sports including hosting those events during the Melbourne Olympics.

On a clear day it is hard to see where the water ends and the sky begins

The challenge was issued. Black and white photos of subjects that were in my everyday life, The carpark at work was a no-brainer with the strong vertical lines.

Taken with my trusty first camera - a little Canon 600D…. Not the 5d III, but a good first camera.
